Bruce Hoffman is President and owner of Gulf Geoexchange and Consulting Services, Inc. (Gulf Geo), which served as the lead energy efficiency consultant company in the efforts of Shreveport, Louisiana and the parishes of Pointe Coupee, Bienville, and Caddo; Morehouse General Hospital; LEED consultant for Plaquemines Parish Animal Shelter and Kent Construction – Capitol One Bank Building. He is instrumental in securing Air Duct and Vent Cleaning services
for VA Medical Centers in California, Alabama, Florida, and Louisiana and for the US Corps of Engineers in Oklahoma & Texas for their Powerhouses. Gulf Geo has been awarded numerous contracts since becoming a Certified Service- Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) in 2013. Gulf Geo contracts include a 5-year award with Defense Logistics Agency (DLA), Richmond, VA; Navy Support in Honolulu, HI; 3-year BPA with USACE Seattle, WA; and other awards with DLA; USACE and VA Hospitals.
Hoffman has owned, managed, and consulted environmental firms since 1993. He has been involved in 4 Superfund sites and assisted in the development of SPCC Plans for each site. He has managed hundreds of tasks ranging from 1-day jobs to 11-month projects. Projects included soil remediation, sampling, dewatering, abatement activities, waste disposal, and similar remedial tasks. He has managed data quality for all projects simultaneously and supervised as many as 15 employees. Hoffman handled multiple tasks on a daily basis such as marketing companies, seeking out projects, writing proposals, performing job cost analysis, recommending projects, and managing projects. Hoffman served as the main consultant for Morehouse General Hospital, Bastrop, LA and oversaw the technical energy audit of facilities to implement an Energy Performance Contract, in order to identify and implement capital improvements to reduce energy, along with operational and related costs in facilities such that annual cost savings are applied to annual payments for improvements.
